Do you fix or fabricate components?
No. HMC Performance Coatings does not repair or fabricate components. We focus exclusively on surface preparation and powder coating, working with fabricated parts that are ready for finishing.
Do you provide pretreatment or media blasting/sandblasting? Do you provide chemical stripping?
Yes, we offer industrial pretreatment services, including:
- Media blasting (also known as sandblasting)
- Chemical wash
Proper pretreatment ensures maximum adhesion and durability.
We do not offer chemical stripping.
What sizes and weights can you handle?
We’re equipped to handle large, heavy components up to 30 feet long and weighing up to 5,000 pounds. Our facility and processes are designed to safely and efficiently handle oversized industrial-scale parts.
Do you work with the general public or on small custom jobs?
Our primary focus is on industrial, production-based powder coating. While we may accept certain small jobs, availability is limited and based on scheduling and capacity.
What should I provide when requesting a quote?
In addition to basic contact details (name, address, email, phone), we ask for the following:
- Quantity of parts
- Interior or exterior use (primer required?)
- Color selection
- Special instructions (masking, one-sided coating, overspray allowances, etc.)
- Part size and dimensions
- Drawings or photos (file upload preferred)
- Hanging holes are present on parts
- Material type (steel, aluminum, galvanized)
- Desired due date
- Current condition (raw material or previously coated/painted)
- Any disassembly required
